North Stradbroke Island Golf Club
North Stradbroke Island Golf Club is located just 10 minutes from Dunwich and offers scenic views of Brown Lake, Port of Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Glasshouse Mountains. The club features a Par 71, 5300m, 9 hole course offering a wide range of playing times, 7 days a week. The layout utilises two unique tee blocks for each hole, therefore providing a full 18 hole challenge.

History
Golf was first played on Stradbroke Island – Island Style – in 1901 on a little three hole, par three course at Polka Point. Over the next 117 years the Club has had three different courses but has never changed its welcoming approach to members and visitors alike. It is unashamedly a community club operated by a small dedicated team, supported by volunteers. Now the club is planning for its future growth through its strategic approach to meet the needs and challenges of the 21st century. Golf will always remain the core business and the Club board is negotiating to extend the term of its lease to allow for further expansion of the course and various accommodation facilities and options.

Today
By using member volunteers to help maintain the course, the Club continues to remain debt free while undertaking a comprehensive course renovation program and offering our members golf for approximately $1 a day. We encourage and welcome junior players accompanied by their parents to come and take advantage of the practice area and play a round together. Straddie Golf Club, with all of 90 members, punches well above its weight and was nominated as a worthy candidate for Queensland Golf Industry Awards ‘Small Golf Club of the Year’ (less than 400 members) in both 2019 and 2021.
